Is Hoard Hero free?expand_more
Yes! The free version supports up to 100 items, 10 locations, 50 AI identifications, and full backup & restore. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited everything.
Do I need an account?expand_more
No account or sign-up is required. The app works fully offline with no mandatory registration.
What devices does it work on?expand_more
Android devices running 7.0 or newer.
memory AI & Identification
How does AI item identification work?expand_more
When you capture an item, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI which analyzes it and returns a name and 1–3 relevant tags. Processing happens in the background.
Are my photos stored by the AI?expand_more
No. Images are sent for processing only and are never stored by the AI service.
What if AI gets it wrong?expand_more
Simply edit the name or tags manually. You can also re-run identification on any item.
What happens when I run out of AI credits?expand_more
AI identification pauses. Purchase additional credit packs (100 or 500 IDs) or unlock Premium for 100 bonus IDs. All purchases are one-time.

Can locations be nested?expand_more
Yes. Create hierarchies like Home → Garage → Shelf A → Toolbox. Filtering by a parent location includes all sub-locations.
Can I move multiple items at once?expand_more
Yes. Long-press an item to enter selection mode, select multiple items, and use the Move action.

How do I back up my collection?expand_more
Go to the navigation drawer → Backup & Restore. Export a ZIP containing your database, all photos, and a verification manifest.
Where is my data stored?expand_more
All data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
lock Privacy & Security
Does the app collect my data?expand_more
The app does not collect or upload your inventory data. AI photos are processed transiently and not stored. Analytics are minimal and anonymous.
Is my data safe if I lose my phone?expand_more
Your data is only as safe as your last backup. We recommend exporting a backup regularly and saving it to cloud storage or another device.
