Hoard Hero is a product of Appmeg Pty Ltd, based in Adelaide, South Australia. We believe your data is your own. Our local-first approach ensures that what you inventory stays with you.
Local First
All your inventory data, including photos and tags, is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it.
Transient AI
Photos sent for AI identification are processed in real-time and immediately discarded. They are never stored by us or Google.
No Accounts
You don't need an account to use Hoard Hero. The app works fully offline with no mandatory registration or personal data collection.
1. Information We Collect
We believe in collecting as little as possible. Hoard Hero collects minimal anonymous analytics only. We do not collect personal data, require an account, or upload your inventory data to our servers. Your inventory is your business.
2. AI Processing
The AI Item Recognition feature is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled in Settings. When active, photos are sent securely to Google Gemini for identification. These images are processed transiently to generate tags and names, and are never stored by Google or us.
3. Data Storage
All inventory data — including items, locations, photos, and tags — is stored locally on your device. We have absolutely no access to it. We strongly recommend using the built-in backup feature to keep your data safe.
4. Third-Party Services
To keep the app running smoothly, we utilize a few trusted third-party services:
- check_circleFirebase: Used for anonymous crash reporting and remote configuration.
- check_circleGoogle Gemini AI: Used solely for real-time item identification.
- check_circleGoogle Play Billing: Handles all Premium and AI credit purchases securely.
Each service is governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Children's Privacy
The app is designed for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to Policy
We will notify users of any material changes to this policy directly via the in-app notification system.
